NO. 2 TAN WATER

The No.2 Tan Water was developed to give you a gorgeous golden glow, in the easiest and most natural way. You simply just pump a few sprays either directly to your skin or into your palm. Then use  circular motions to distribute the Tan Water evenly, and within a few hours, you’ll experience a most natural looking healthy summer glow, giving you a velvety bare skin look. The No.2 Tan Water is clean, allergen, fragrance, and paraben free, besides being free of endocrine disruptors and non-comedogenic and very gentle towards your skin. It’s by default made for sensitive skin. It’s a natural process that doesn’t clog your pores or cause breakouts, and doesn’t contain any oils, making it suitable for people suffering from rosacea and acne. It’s been heavily used by people with acne and rosacea challenges, while they are forced to stay out of the sun – giving them a natural, golden, glowy tan, without any problems. 

PS. It’s quick drying, thus being a blessing when you’re short of time.

Boë’s Tan Water aids you with a nutritious, healthy and natural looking glowy skin, giving you a velvety feeling and look. The Tan is created due to DHA (read more in the Key Ingredients-section), naturally activating the melanin in the deeper layers of your skin, so the color isn’t a layer added on top of your skin, but it’s built from within and naturally. This also makes your tan more long lasting. No.2 is super easy to apply, simply spray and allocate evenly with your hands, which will result in an even tan. It dries quickly so within minutes you can take on your white shirt or lay in your bed, without worries of transfer. Our tanning water is of course fragrance free and thus without allergens and endocrine disruptors, and safe to use while breastfeeding or being pregnant. It doesn’t contain oils, so it won’t clog your pores, cause breakouts and is non-comedogenic. People suffering from acne and rosacea problems will be safe when using it, and it will even give you a more homogeneous looking skin, and reduce redness.

Dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, is a colorless sugar compound that’s used in most self-tanners. It can be derived synthetically, or from sugar beets and canes. When DHA interacts with the amino acids in the proteins of the skin cells, the production of melanoids – brown pigments – happens, which creates a tanned appearance.
This reaction only occurs in the top layer of the skin, which is why self tanners aren’t permanent. At Boë we use the smallest possible particles that go deeper in the skin, compared to other self tan products. This is why the tan from Boë’s products have a long lasting natural tan color.

– DHA is generally well-tolerated by most people, though it can cause both contact dermatitis (rashes, irritation, redness) as well as an allergy. We have though never experienced any customers getting allergic reactions, alone from Boë’s products. 

Glycerin is a natural component in healthy skin. When used in skincare, it’s typically derived from vegetable fats (like coconut oil, soy or palm) or produced synthetically. The glycerin used by Boë and in our products, is found and derived from non GMO Soy Oil – which makes it 100% natural and vegan. Glycerin is a hygroscopic ingredient, meaning it attracts the moisture from the air surrounding us, and helps us to contain it in our skin. Glycerin imitates the skin’s natural moisturizing factors in the skin’s fat layer, making it crucial for the skin’s ability to tie water in the superior skin layer. Besides being an eminent humectant, glycerin protects against environmental sources of skin irritation. It strengthens the precious skin barriers, besides helping other ingredients to penetrate the skin better. Glycerin helps to maintain a healthy and good moisture balance in your skin, and when the moisture balance is ‘normal’ your skin will feel soft, smooth and elastic, making it receptive to skincare and other products. Lastly, it aids in improving the skin’s youthful look.

Propanediol is a glycol that improves and increases the absorption of other ingredients, creating an improvement to their effectiveness. It also provides the skin with moisture, which contributes to the aforementioned velvety, dewy look, that the No.2 Tan Water provides. It’s a well tolerated ingredient, which is sensitive to the skin. Propanediol can naturally be found and derived in corn, and also manufactured synthetically.

Sodium PCA, is a natural humectant derived from L-Glutamic acid. It’s known to be abundant in human skin as a component of NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor), and helps your skin and hair to stay fresh-looking.

Propanediol and Pentylene Glycol are both moisturizing agents, while Dimethyl Isosorbide is a tan booster, and Dimethyl Isosorbide works as a tan booster.
